Dr. Lindsay Usher is an assistant professor of Park, Recreation and Tourism Studies. She is a graduate of Penn State University (M.S. and Ph.D. in Recreation, Park and Tourism Management) and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A. in Recreation Administration and Dramatic Art). Her research interests include surf tourism, coastal tourism and sustainability, and the political ecology of tourism development. She served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala from 2006 to 2008 working as an ecotourism facilitator.
